Open cooling towers
In open circuit cooling towers, there is a direct contact between the cooling water and the air that passes through the fill of the heat exchanger. It is this direct contact that makes open circuit cooling towers the most economical and efficient solution among all the cooling options available on the market.
The range of open circuit cooling towers can be equipped simultaneously with axial or centrifugal fans according to the needs or requirements of the installation.
Closed cooling towers
A closed cooling tower is a tower where the packing has been replaced by a coil of smooth tubes, through which the fluid to be cooled circulates. A second circuit, assisted by a small pump integrated into the unit, collects water from the tower's basin and distributes it over the coil.
The closed circuit cooling tower is a device in which the liquid to be cooled does not come into contact with the air, thus it advantageously replaces the combination of cooling tower + heat exchanger, allowing for lower cooling temperatures.
The range of closed towers can be equipped with axial or centrifugal fans according to the needs or requirements of the installation.
