Pillow Plate

Process exchangers and
heat recovery on charged fluids.

This range of heat exchangers is designed and built to meet the needs of various markets. Available in a wide range of materials, from AISI 304 to SMO 254, from AISI 904L to SAF 2307 or LDX 2101, with service pressures ranging from 3 to over 80 bars and temperatures reaching up to over 600°C.

They are intended for heat recovery systems from gases or fumes with a high humidity content, up to the thermal treatment of granular solids.

We can find these exchangers in all types of industries: the paper industry, the textile industry, food industry, chemical industry, galvanic industry, and many others.

Therm-X

Heat recovery from effluents.

Therm-x is a self-cleaning heat exchanger, ideal for heat recovery and wastewater treatment. It uses concentric Pillow Plates that are mechanically cleaned by mobile brushes, ensuring optimal heat exchange by eliminating deposits.

With a capacity of up to 1500 mm in height and 200 m3/h, it adapts to various applications. The fluid can flow in series or in parallel as required. Therm-x manages variable flows and can store heat, while being compatible with heat pumps for hot water production.

Condensation of flue gases

The cooling of combustion gases and the condensation of moisture in these gases provide enormous gains in heat recovery of up to 25%.

The combustion gas condenser is a device that captures the heat from the combustion gases before it is permanently lost.

It consists of Pillow Plates arranged in parallel, allowing gases to flow vertically between the plates, while the carrier liquid circulates inside. Condensation forms on the cold plates, and the condensate drains away, cleaning the surfaces.

This system, with a compact design and construction from corrosion-resistant materials such as SS316L, requires little maintenance, which reduces operating costs.

Process Therm

Process Therm captures the heat from air laden with dust and moisture. It is easily installed in new factories or as a retrofit. The recovered heat is primarily used to warm the incoming air, but can also supply other applications such as process heating or a district heating network.

The space between the Pillow Plates allows for efficient operation even in dusty conditions, with a low pressure drop (generally < 500 Pa). The condensation of moisture increases the recovered heat, thereby reducing the return on investment.

The CIP nozzles on the exchanger facilitate the cleaning of the plates without disrupting production.

Falling Film

Heat recovery from process water.

This heat exchanger consists of a number of vertical Pillow Plates and a water distribution system.

The distribution system directs the process liquid down the Pillow Plates so that energy is transferred to the medium due to the film/adhesive effect.

The product design, combined with production entirely in stainless steel, optimises and guarantees high efficiency in heat transfer as well as in hygiene aspects. This is very important, as it is often used in industries that deal with food production.
